Akinom Academy intentionally designs programs to influence the future of our students by providing them with various perspectives to see life through.
Curriculum

Fun and custom curriculum. Our dialogue-based curriculum is designed and written specifically for our classes with increasing levels for student advancement.  Prior to Kindergarden our voyagers will learn:

  • Over 1000 words in English,  Spanish, and Sign Language

  • Count from 1 to 40

  • Tells what number comes before or after a given number up to 20.

  • Retells simple stories in sequence.

  • Know basic colors

  • Determine basic shapes

  • Be able to state and spell first and last name

  • Identify Upper and lower case letter

Akinom Garden

The Akinom Garden is a opportunity to help out voyagers create a passion for learning early on.  Gardening provides an interactive and engaging connection for students in subjects such as math, science, nutrition and literacy. Other benefits of the Akinom Garden include:

  • Building self esteem through accomplishments

  • Creates appreciation and respect for living things

  • Develops nurturing qualities

  • Reduces symptoms of attention-deficit disorder and ADHD
